Description:
Established DuBois, Pennsylvania, law firm seeks an organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal with experience in civil litigation. This is a challenging and vital role that requires superior organizational skills, attention to details and ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule court filings, depositions, mediations, hearings, and client meetings.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case matters, scheduling, and updates.
- Monitor and manage deadlines, including calendaring critical dates and ensuring compliance with court rules and procedures.
- Transcribe, proofread, and edit correspondence and legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and subpoenas.
- Manage and organize case files, both physical and electronic, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately and accessible.
- Assist in billing and tracking attorney hours related to litigation tasks.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as Legal Assistant, Paralegal or similar role in a litigation-focused law firm.
- Proficiency at transcribing recorded dictation.
- Proficiency in legal software and tools, such as case management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and e-filing systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to cooperate and collaborate as a team member.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
