Role and responsibilities
- Analyze and Enhance Systems: Study existing trading system capabilities and design new functionalities.
- Develop Technical Documentation: Create workflow diagrams, data flow diagrams, traceability matrix, and system specifications.
- Gather and Define Requirements: Identify system input, processing, and output needs, ensuring effective system controls.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineers, algo developers, and traders to align system enhancements with business needs.
- Design Market Connectivity Solutions: Implement cutting-edge market connectivity systems.
- Ensure Compliance: Maintain order management processes in line with best execution practices.
- Project Management: Track KPIs, plan and coordinate projects, and lead operational and steering committee meetings.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Finance or Quantitative finance
- Strong financial background related to capital markets, payment systems and trust accounting.
- Subject matter expert in business with knowledge or experience utilizing application/system being supported.
- Experience with client and market connectivity products, trading execution solutions, and application development platforms.
- Strong understanding of investment management operations and business terminology.
- Ability to resolve issues, recommend, and implement system solutions.
- Skilled in driving project milestones, coordinating between teams, and providing leadership/mentorship.
- Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation, organizational, and time management skills.
- Python scripting experience a plus
- FIX & Binary Connectivity Protocol knowledge a plus
- Proficiency in network protocols such as TCP & multicast
