Packaging Technician

Talarya Brands, a licensed cannabis company, is looking for packaging technicians to join our growing team. Our cannabis extraction lab in Santa Rosa, CA specializes in cryogenic live resin production as well as full service concentrate manufacturing and co-packing. We are looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented Packager interested in joining a small, dedicated team of highly skilled and passionate hash makers. This position will assist in the day to day processes that keep our lab operating at the efficiency levels we need. Job Overview:

Packaging Technicians plays a critical role in the cannabis production process by ensuring the accurate and compliant packaging of cannabis concentrates. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and adherence to all regulatory guidelines. The Packaging Technician will work as part of a team to package cannabis concentrates efficiently and safely. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate, and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls.

Packaging and Labeling:

• Weigh and measure cannabis concentrate products accurately.
• Assemble and package cannabis concentrates into various types of containers, such as jars, cartridges, or syringes, following company guidelines and regulatory requirements.Apply appropriate labels and seals to finished products.

Quality Control:

• Perform quality checks on packaged products to ensure they meet quality standards and regulatory compliance.
• Report any issues or discrepancies to the supervisor.

Compliance:

• Ensure that products are packed and accounted for in accordance with company policy and state regulations. Follow all state and local regulations related to the packaging and labeling of cannabis products.
• Maintain accurate records of packaging activities as required by regulatory agencies.

Inventory Management:

• Assist in managing inventory levels by ensuring accurate counts of finished products.
• Notify the inventory team when supplies need to be replenished.

Safety and Sanitation:

• Adhere to strict safety and sanitation standards in the packaging area.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Teamwork:Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with other departments, such as cultivation and extraction, to ensure a smooth workflow.

Training:

• Stay up-to-date with changes in packaging regulations and procedures.
• Train new team members on packaging processes as needed.

Qualifications:

• Must be 21 years of age or older (as per legal requirements).
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in cannabis packaging or a similar role is a plus.
• Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance is highly desirable.
• Attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and regulated environment.
• High energy and focus level required
• Willingness to learn and understand new processes
• A love for cannabis and ideally a passion for extracts
• Perform well when fast-paced and occasionally under pressure

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
• Manual dexterity for packaging tasks.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
• Comfortable working with cannabis products.

Salary: Starting at $18 per hour
