What are the responsibilities and job description for the Area Production Manager position at Talascend?
A Talascend client in the Mobile, Alabama area has a need for an Area Production Manager to direct and manage their Hot Strip Mill (HSM) production process, as well as review and evaluate quality, downtime, and performance of the HSM Production department.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Development of engineered solutions for quality and throughput optimization without a given solution process.
- Coordination of measures to ensure a trouble-free production.
- Autonomous execution of investment measures.
- Develop and implement further improvement of the production process to adjust to future requirements.
- Coordination of production activities.
- Managing the HSM production with respect to the overall company's goals.
- Develop and maintain the department's budget.
- Develop and maintain the manpower plan (org-chart) for the production area.
- Develop and maintain goals for the production department.
- Representation of company at events and in organizations.
- Development of training for the work force.
- Performance review for the direct reporting team members.
- Control all KPIs for production.
- Monitor continuous improvements.
- Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
- Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment and Environmental Commitment.
