Talascend is currently seeking a Bilingual Wireless Field Test Engineer for a long-term, contract career opportunity with our client in Bellevue, WA.
OVERVIEW:
The Wireless Field Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting field testing of device protocols, analyzing performance metrics, and identifying issues related to 3GPP protocol and call processing. Must be bilingual in English and Korean.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform field testing for device protocol validation
- Use Qualcomm tools such as QXDM, QPST, and XCAL for debugging and analysis
- Conduct KPI analysis using XCAP and QCAT
- Analyze SIP call flow and network behavior using Wireshark
- Execute 3GPP-based 4G/5G modem system verification test plans in the field
- Load software, collect field test logs, and identify protocol-related issues
- Operate and test multiple prototype and OEM devices
- Post-process field test logs, analyze data, and report modem protocol and performance issues
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 2 years of experience in device protocol testing
- Strong communication skills and punctuality
- Experience with Qualcomm tools such as QXDM, QPST, and XCAL
- Knowledge of KPI analysis tools like XCAP and QCAT
- Basic understanding of SIP call flow and Wireshark analysis
- Ability to handle multiple test devices and follow test procedures
