A Talascend client in Montgomery, AL has a need for a CMM Operator.

This is a 6 month contract position with potential to be extended.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years' experience with CMM and other quality inspection instruments, processes and procedures
  • Proficient in Imperial & Metric system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Reliable transportation

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Reviews the job related information. (Part drawing, CMM programs, etc.)
  • Prepares workplace and CMM machine for next task
  • Performs manual measurements and dimensional checks using gauges, etc.
  • Utilizes CMM machines for measurements
  • Archives measurement data in electronic format
  • Retrieves and provides reports to Team as needed
  • Supports change-over activities of manufacturing for an earliest first ok part and confirmation for series production
  • Perform inbound inspection per work instructions
  • Perform outbound inspection per work instructions
  • Segregates unacceptable material from acceptable material.
  • Supplies unacceptable material to review table
  • Provides inspected and confirmed parts to next process step
  • Enters data from Material Review Process and tracks paperwork
  • Communicates quality issues to Quality Engineer as needed
