Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Design Release Engineer position for HVAC components with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Auburn Hills, MI.
SUMMARY :
The HVAC Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A / C lines. The candidate will ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero / Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables.
- Candidate will maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results
- Perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required.
- Lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance. Support pilot and pre-production build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC line and compressors.
