Overview
The IT Asset Management Specialist will manage software licenses to ensure compliance, mitigate risks, and optimize usage. This role requires collaboration across departments to monitor, track, and manage software licenses while driving cost-saving initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define controls, processes, and procedures for effective software asset management.
- Monitor software usage and licenses to ensure compliance with agreements and regulations.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to software licensing non-compliance.
- Collect, analyze, and report on license consumption for forecasting, budgeting, and optimization.
- Conduct regular license audits and address discrepancies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess current and future licensing needs.
- Analyze software usage for efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
- Validate invoices and oversee licensing requests and provisioning.
- Track software end-of-support and end-of-life schedules, planning for necessary transitions.
- Establish controls for software installation and adherence to processes.
- Drive cost-saving efforts, including remediation, harvesting, and reducing duplication.
- Enhance software asset management tools and systems with CIO Services teams.
Requirements
Preference will be given to candidates with ServiceNow SAMPro certification, IAITAM Asset Management certification, or advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
