What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Installer position at Talascend?

Talascend is currently seeking a Mechanical Installer for a contract opportunity in Ashville, OH.

We are seeking conveyor installers to work on a small traveling team. Our Team works with our customer on site to meet expectations and deliver install services in a safe but timely manner.

Essential Functions

Ensure installation projects meet both customer expectations and design requirements.
Exercise and always enforce proper safety practices.
Ability to work on a team and provide outstanding priority and task management skills
Must be able to stand and work for long hours with necessary tools and PPE
Must be able to lift to or more than 50 pounds regularly as well as climb and kneel semi regularly

Qualifications :

Mechanically inclined

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Ability to climb ladders and work at heights up to 40 ft

Conveyor and / or Sortation experience required

Ability to operate power tools correctly

Detail Oriented

Adheres to all safety standards and ensured a safe work area

Performs housekeeping and general clean up duties

Able to work 58 hour work weeks

Reliable transportation

Good Communication skills

Good Attitude

PPE Required :

Steel Toed Shoes

Hard Hat

Reflective vest

Safety glasses

Jeans

Work gloves

Keep long hair tied up at all times while onsite

Minimum Required Mechanical Tools :

Wrench set 3 / 8-15 / 16

3 / 8 Drive socket set 3 / 8-15 / 16

3 / 8 ratchet

Line up Pin

Needle nose pliers

Vise grips

Channel locks pliers

2lb. or 3lb, Hammer

25 or 30 tape measure

12 torpedo level

Band cutters

Phillips and flathead screwdrivers

12 adjustable wrench

Razor knife
