Talascend seeks qualified QA Test Manager candidates to join its energy / utility client's team for a contract career opportunity in Newark, NJ.
Due to the nature of this work, you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to be eligible for consideration. This role allows a hybrid work schedule (3 days / week WFH), so you must live within a commutable distance to the office.
OVERVIEW :
The QA Test Manager will be responsible for developing and managing testing requirements, procedures, standards, and policies. This role involves coordinating testing assignments, tracking project status, managing defects, and providing measurement reporting to stakeholders.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Understand business functionality and define the overall test strategy.
- Develop a comprehensive test plan aligned with the system, application, or product scope.
- Maintain standard IT testing and test management processes, procedures, and policies.
- Develop and maintain standard requirements management processes and procedures.
- Create and deliver staff training materials for test and requirements management.
- Effectively communicate program and project risks, issues, and escalations to senior leadership.
- Provide consulting services to project teams on test and requirements management.
- Develop mockups for standard test and requirements management reports and visualizations.
- Serve as the escalation point for project-related test management activities.
- Track and communicate daily status, risks, issues, and dependencies, and manage issue resolution.
- Log and manage defects in ServiceNow.
- Act as Test Manager or technical lead on projects.
- Provide technical direction, leadership, and training for less experienced staff.
