Talascend is seeking qualified candidates to apply for a Quality Engineer position with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Lansing, Michigan
SUMMARY :
The main function of a Quality Engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES : Address module issues end of line. Handle supplier quality issues. Issue SPPS. Issue PRTS. Maintain module supplier quality sheet. Work with DVT coordinator on software issues. Address all end of line module and software failures. Enter defect losses into GSIP
REQUIREMENTS : High school diploma is required. But technical degree in electrical engineering is a plus. Must have 3 to 5 years of experience. Looking for automotive experience or supplier. And if they have electrical background. Also, will look for buzz words from working another GM plant such as GBFTT. Electrical Background : (Electrical schematics and how software works with the schematics) Computer Skills : Proficient working with excel and using formulas. Looking up specs and math data. Vehicle software and how it works. Vspy is a bonus. It’s like vehicle spy where you can pull part numbers and pull logs from the vehicles.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD)
Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
Team player and detail oriented.
Basic leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Monday- Thursday. 4 days and 10 hours daily, 1 st 6am-4 : 30pm
