Talascend is currently seeking a Senior Data Analyst for a remote opportunity. The customer this position will support is headquartered in Seattle, WA, and while the ideal candidate would reside locally, it is not required.
Overview
The Senior Data Analyst will support a large utility client by identifying and resolving data discrepancies across multiple systems. This role requires strong technical, analytical, and collaboration skills to ensure data integrity and develop future preventative controls.
Responsibilities
- Identify data elements that may be out of sync between multiple systems
- Determine the "source of truth" for each data element
- Develop a data cleanup plan for each in-scope data element
- Create a replication plan to sync data across systems
- Develop future preventative controls to maintain data quality
- Document current and future processes, including organizational change management assessment
- Draft information / data architecture diagrams per team requirements
- Draft statements of work (SOW) for future data cleanup and control projects
- Engage with business customers at all levels, from front-line to executive leadership
- Develop business requirements, use cases / user stories, software requirements, and workflow diagrams
- Gather and evaluate information from multiple sources to support project planning and requirements gathering
- Maintain knowledge of business processes and associated IT systems
- Perform business analysis following BABOK standards
- Develop deliverables using BPM within Visio, RFP templates, and traceability documentation
- Support business analysis, organizational change management, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives
