Talascend is currently seeking a Shop Supervisor for an opportunity in Detroit, MI.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Collaborate with the Shop Manager, vendors, and maintenance team to address current equipment and facility issues.
- Oversee routine and emergency repairs alongside UAW mechanics.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of Preventive Maintenance and repair activities within the shop.
- Generate reports detailing maintenance, repairs, safety, and equipment or parts-related issues.
- Develop and implement equipment repair strategies in response to changing weather conditions, pre-determined events, or plant-related changes.
- Work closely with upper management to help budget for maintenance and equipment repairs.
- Oversee the installation, campaigns, and refurbishments of equipment.
- Ensure production standards are met for the skilled trades labor force.
- Manage and coordinate the UAW skilled trades labor force.
- Manage the flow of parts to the mechanics, ensuring timely availability.
- Collaborate with service managers to ensure necessary parts are available for repair jobs.
- Utilize strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize and coordinate team efforts.
