REPORTS TO: Cabinet Manager
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Cabinet Specialist is responsible for superior customer service and professionalism in designing, selling, purchasing, and scheduling cabinetry and related products. The position works closely with other members of the Talbert team to deliver high-quality, functional, and aesthetically pleasing cabinet solutions to our contractor and homeowner clients.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain an extensive knowledge base of our cabinetry and related product offerings.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Assist clients in the showroom with cabinetry and related product needs and be able to explain the features and benefits of the various brands and options.
- Interpret architectural plans and sketches to develop cabinet layouts using 2020 Design.
- Coordinate with the Cabinet Manager and Talbert management to achieve margin requirements for various customer types and project scopes.
- Prepare and present accurate and professional quotes and layouts.
- Ensure customers sign off on quotes and designs before issuing vendor purchase orders.
- Verify that field measurements are completed to confirm dimensions before ordering cabinets.
- Import finalized 2020 Design output into our BisTrack ERP to facilitate detailed purchase orders, receiving documents, and sales orders.
- Communicate with customers and team members to verify that expectations are clear and aligned.
- Collaborate with team members across multiple branches and departments to ensure successful projects.
- Schedule delivery when our installer or client is ready for cabinets.
- Order replacement cabinets or parts if needed during installation.
- Support timely warranty and service request resolution.
