This senior position will report into a Director of Software Engineering, Operational Applications within Talcott Resolution, working closely with our technology employees, vendor partners, and business partners to ensure that the design and development of business solutions and automation needs are delivered in a quality and timely fashion. This position requires an individual with strong software development, leadership, and communication skills along with detailed knowledge and experience within the Repetitive Payment System (RPS). This role will work on varying organizational and system initiatives that include assessing, designing, and developing solutions for both application and strategic roadmap efforts.
This is an opportunity for an individual who has in-depth experience with the Repetitive Payment system (RPS), a passion for understanding business problems, developing creative solutions on business-critical systems, and driving strategic efforts for the enterprise. The successful individual will be able to lead and collaborate with business and technical teams, develop strategies / solutions, and deliver on project milestones.
Responsibilities :
- Apply knowledge of RPS to drive efficiency into support, maintenance, and execution, with a focus on Talcott’s highly customized RPS application.
- Lead and participate on assignments and projects, clarifying business requirements, writing technical specifications, performing application development and modification activities.
- Lead and / or participate in planning sessions with business stakeholders, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements.
- Manage own tasks within assignments around production support and maintenance plan(s).
- Develop or modify software application modules using disciplined software development processes.
- Apply quality assurance principles and processes, ensuring the development product meets the needs and requirements of the business.
- Testing of application modules that have been developed or modified.
- Provide ongoing maintenance of applications or tools as required.
- Provide production support as needed when contacted by teammates or other support teams.
- Handle / resolve production support issues within area of expertise.
