Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team and support the asset/liability management and balance sheet management of the general accounts. The ideal candidate will work with Actuarial, ERM, Finance and other parts of the Company to design, monitor and oversee asset positioning relative to the liabilities of the general account.
Primary Responsibilities
- Scope of $45b of general account assets: Include legal entities in US, Bermuda and Cayman
- ALM Framework: Improve upon existing ALM metrics/processes in place today to better define optimal asset positioning, maintain/improve analytical platform that captures both asset and liability characteristics
- Liquidity: Maintain/monitor/improve upon current management and processes regarding liquidity
- Strategic Asset Allocation: Support the Strategic Asset Allocation team’s process by providing targets/constraints based upon liability characteristics
- New Business: Support onboarding of new business
- Application Development: Work with Investment Operations, Analytics and reporting team to design tools, dashboards and applications interacting with investment analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making across various teams.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Investment team, as well as other business units, to successfully manage the general account portfolios
Qualifications
- Experience: 3-7 years of experience supporting investment or actuarial areas, progression towards CFA and/or ASA/FSA designation preferred
- Technical Skills: Strong skills in Excel/Word/PowerPoint, proficiency in Python/R/other coding languages a plus
- Investment Data & Analytics: A strong background in investment and/or actuarial data and analytics with a focus on accuracy, scalability, and performance.
- Communication Skills: Strong general and technical communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial and mathematical concepts to a wide range of stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving & Creativity: Demonstrated creativity and excellent problem-solving abilities in analytical environments.
- Teamwork & Independence: Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team setting.
- Capital Markets Knowledge: Understanding of capital markets, insurance products
- Liability-Driven Investing (LDI): Familiarity with LDI concepts, especially in the context of insurance liabilities
- Risk Frameworks: Knowledge of various risk and capital risk frameworks is advantageous.
