Our Service Specialist role is an excellent opportunity for an early career or seasoned customer service professional that enjoys client interactions via phone. Our selected candidate will deliver superior customer service to our valued customers during 50-60 incoming calls daily. This structured position will provide ongoing learnings for financial wealth planning to ensure confidence while interacting with brokers and individual contract holders. We have an experienced management team who will design a detailed plan to ensure continuous learning and career growth opportunities to ignite your career in financial services. Your performance will be measured based on a few key indicators for success to allow for future learning opportunities for other processes or advanced experiences. Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone
Post Training Work Hours: Monday-Thursday 9:30 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone
Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time Zone

Responsibilities:
The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $40,000 - $44,000.

Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate professional diplomacy and a positive customer service experiences for inbound calls with our customers, contract owners and financial advisors
- Successfully execute customer requests while navigating a fast-paced structured environment
- Support the processing of written requests ad hoc
- Demonstrate active listening and critical thinking skills to quickly assess the customers’ request and leverage online resources to provide an appropriate solution
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience
- Strong preference will be given to individuals who have experience navigating multiple applications and dual monitors within a customer service environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrated capacity to develop positive and productive customer relationships
- Ability to multi-task (type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens)
- Proven success working in a fast-paced and structured environment
- Ability to navigate multiple programs and effectively use online resources
- Knowledge of annuities, 401k products, life insurance, mutual funds or stock market activity is preferred
- Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) certification or Series 6 FINRA license credentials are preferred.
- For non-licensed, non-SIE candidates, we ask that you have the desire and drive to obtain your SIE and Series 6 in the near future.
