What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treasury Analyst position at Talcott Financial Group?
Overview:
This Treasury Analyst will report to Talcott’s Assistant Treasurer. The incumbent will work within the Treasury team to accurately manage the financial assets and risks specific to Talcott Resolution’s domestic and global legal entities. The incumbent must clearly communicate complex financial information to management. This position will be based in our Hartford, CT office.
Responsibilities:
Oversees corporate cash management and forecasting
Supports the core liquidity strategy to maximize investment opportunity and portfolio management
Project management related to treasury operations, system upgrades, or process improvements.
Proactively coaches Treasury Staff
Ability to effectively communicate complex financial concepts and strategies to senior management
Bank relationship management for both operating and investment bank accounts and portfolios
Access bank portals for cash monitoring and cash transfer initiations.
Support Treasury systems compliance for security entitlements and maintenance
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 1 year of finance or treasury experience
Insurance industry and investment management knowledge
Expertise in financial software, spreadsheets (like Excel), and specialized treasury management systems.
Ethical standards and behavior
Readily able to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines
Flexible, positive mindset
Prior experience with automation of treasury processes is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously or within a team dynamic
Compensation
The annualized base pay range is mainly based on an evaluation of comparable positions in the external market. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and recognition.
