We are seeking a skilled Metal Cutter to join our team in the Troy area. The Cutter will be responsible for accurately cutting materials according to specifications from prints to support production processes.
- Pay: $18 - 20/hr
- Availability on Off shifts: 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Responsibilities
- Operate cutting machinery and equipment to cut materials as per job requirements
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, or diagrams to determine cutting specifications
- Inspect materials for quality and accuracy before and after cutting
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Experience
- Proven experience as a Cutter or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with different types of cutting tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and measurements accurately
- Attention to detail and precision in work
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy materials
- ** Need to be proficient with a tape measure **
- Eagerness to learn
- Machine shop work (bonus)
