Summary
We are seeking a Robotics Technician to join our dynamic team at Taldeco in Springfield, OH. This role is essential in supporting our clients' automation needs by programming and maintaining robotic systems. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional contractor support across various industries.
You will ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specs; troubleshoots malfunctions with Weld Quality and Robotic Weld Machines
Responsibilities
· Maintain a Safe Work environment in the Maintenance Shop and Assembly Floor
· Diagnose Equipment and Weld failures
· Perform Preventive Maintenance
· Assist with Setup and Maintain Weld Quality
· Assist with jig tuning
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
· Utilize maintenance hand tools safely to include but not limited to power tools, measuring tools, ladders, or any other type of tool necessary to complete typical maintenance tasks
· Request orders to replenish materials and parts when inventory is low or depleted
· Reteaching and adjusting of welds on weld cells to maintain a low rate of weld splatter while adhering to the quality standards set forth by the Quality Department.
· Maintain safety standards and not cause any risk during the Reteaching process; while exercising caution manipulating the robots.
· Understands the different aspects that produces good welds like pressure; alignment; weld tip condition; and current flow.
· Ability to read and manipulate weld schedules to conform to the best practices
· Basic understanding of Resistance Welding and Jig Tuning
· Basic Robotic Programming
· Study manufacturer manuals and blueprints to carefully follow directions when operating or setting up newly-acquired machinery
· Participate in PM program
· Follow Lockout / Tag out Safety procedures
· General knowledge of maintenance related work; including: hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, robotics and fabrication
· Basic knowledge of electrical systems, symbols, reading prints, and troubleshooting
· Understand SAE and Metric measurement systems
· Perform basic maintenance to Production equipment
· Examine moving parts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for signs of excessive wear, defects, and damage

Qualifications

· Preferred Education and/or Experience
· 3 years’ experience in an applicable field
· Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or Related
· PLC Controls knowledge is a plus.

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
