Job Description Summary

The purpose of this position is to work closely with other departments in developing a work schedule by week for the I&C shop to perform; schedule training events for I&C personnel; and track the status of the qualifications of I&C personnel. Also, when tasked, provide direction and oversight for I&C crew work and work review and to enforce Maintenance Department goals with the crew, making sure workers are adhering to station programs, work related procedures, work plans, and plant standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lay out and implement strategies to complete work assignments per the scheduled times.
• Enforce departmental and organizational goals and expectations.
• Provide feedback to Planning and Work Management Departments when we see a better or more cost-effective way of performing certain jobs.
• Motivate the crew while performing tasks, keeping an open mind and good attitude towards the position.
• Maintain necessary qualifications and expertise to be able to respond and lead in plant response to abnormal conditions within the Nuclear Emergency Response Organization.
• Validate job readiness for scheduled work. Coordinate with Operations Department and others to reschedule work when needed.
• Monitor and manage the qualifications and training of direct reports.
• Serve as the training coordinator working closely with our training partners to ensure training and qualifications are met and have a short-term training plan along with a long-term training plan.
• Provide feedback to Planning and Work Management Departments when we see a better or more cost-effective way of performing certain jobs.
  
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Working knowledge of power plant maintenance, design, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Must be able to coordinate information from various sources and interface with multiple work groups to complete tasks.
• Should have good interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and correct coworkers; can perform duties with little to no supervision.
• Must be able to provide maintenance supervision coverage outside of normal working hours when in an on-call/duty status.
• Must be able to qualify and fulfill Emergency Response Organization duties and responsibilities to include meeting a 1-hour response time while in an on-call/duty status.
  
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Should have a good knowledge of the systems within a power plant.
• Should have good technical ability on almost all plant equipment which could break down.
• Task certified on equipment being reworked; Energy Control Process certified.
• Prior experience with Primavera P6 and Syntempo.
