The Human Resources Director will play a critical role in optimizing HR operations, with a strong emphasis on Employee Relations. Leading a team of seven HR professionals, you will provide both strategic and hands-on HR leadership, ensuring effective business partnership and support across the organization. Your leadership will drive collaboration, talent development, and productivity, fostering a workplace culture that is inclusive, high-performing, and aligned with the organization's goals.
This role requires an experienced HR leader who excels at mentoring teams, managing employee relations, and working with senior leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
what you will do…
- Lead and manage ER processes, providing guidance on conflict resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and workplace policies to ensure a fair, respectful, and legally compliant environment.
- Oversee core HR functions, including performance management, policy administration, HRIS management, and compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.
- Support compensation initiatives by assisting in salary benchmarking, pay equity analysis, and ensuring competitive compensation structures align with industry standards.
- Support the HR team in managing recruitment efforts, including clinical and administrative hiring. Partner with hiring managers to develop strategies that attract and retain top talent.
- Supervise and mentor HR team members, including HR Business Partners and Recruiters, fostering professional growth and strengthening HR’s impact across the organization.
- Ensure HR processes are efficient, scalable, and aligned with best practices. Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations and HRSA requirements.
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to leadership and department managers, providing counsel on people-related strategies, workforce planning, and engagement initiatives.
what you need to bring…
- Progressive and modern HR Generalist, Business Partner, or Employee Relations management experience.
- Proven ability to mentor, develop, and lead HR teams.
- Experience handling employee relations cases, coaching managers, and implementing best practices in HR policies and compliance.
- Knowledge ofcompensation structures, salary benchmarking, and pay equity best practicesto support HR decision-making.
- Strong collaboration and partnership skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work onsiteas 95% of the workforce requires in-person HR support.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years in a management role.
preferred:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) proficiency.
- Experience with HR technology and HRIS systems.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
- Experience in healthcare, non-profit, or community-based organizations.
