Shift : 8 AM - 5 PM
Pay Range : $18.00 - $22.00
Job Description-
The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) plays a vital role in delivering excellent patient care by creating a positive first impression and supporting clinical providers. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, documenting medical histories in the EMR, assisting with patient evaluations, and supporting the nursing staff.
Duties include :
Providing direct patient care and assisting with screenings, blood draws, and POC testing.
Organizing exam rooms, maintaining supplies, and assisting physicians to streamline practice workflow.
Scheduling appointments and making reminder calls professionally.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and complying with HIPAA, OSHA, and company policies.
Answering phones, filing, and performing other administrative tasks.
Restocking exam rooms, ensuring inventory, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
Supporting staff with any additional tasks and fostering a positive practice reputation.
Qualifications needed :
- At least 2 years of similar job experience in a medical office preferred , minimum 6 months experience required
- Familiar with EKG, Phlebotomy and Patient Care
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant certification required
- CPR certified required
- Experience on EHR and EMR systems, Athena preferred
- Knowledge of pre-authorizations and referrals
Salary : $18 - $22
