Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM (M-F)
Pay Rate : $82 / hr on W2 | $88 / hr on 1099
Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week
Job Description :
The Pathologists Assistant will work under the supervision of a pathologist to perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens, assist in autopsies, and ensure proper specimen handling. The role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to laboratory protocols to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.
Responsibilities :
- Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens.
- Assist pathologists in autopsy procedures, including evisceration and tissue selection.
- Ensure proper labeling, documentation, and specimen preservation.
- Photograph and describe specimens for diagnostic and educational purposes.
- Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in the laboratory.
- Collaborate with pathologists, lab personnel, and medical staff for efficient workflow.
- Assist in training and supervising laboratory personnel if needed.
