Job Description :
Delmar Gardens of OFallon is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join their rehabilitation team. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions aimed at improving patients mobility relieving pain and enhancing overall functional abilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Implement Treatment Plans : Administer physical therapy treatments as outlined by the Physical Therapist including exercises manual therapy and the use of therapeutic modalities.
Patient Education : Instruct patients and their families on exercises and activities to be continued at home promoting ongoing recovery and function.
Progress Monitoring : Observe and document patients progress adjusting treatments as necessary and reporting findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
Equipment Management : Ensure therapy equipment is clean wellmaintained and properly set up for patient use.
Collaboration : Work closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and discharge planning.
Qualifications :
Education : Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
Licensure : Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Missouri.
