What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Service Engineer (Injection) position at Talener?
Our client is one of the nation’s leading machines manufactures and they are looking to hire a Service Engineer. The ideal candidate will have strong experience working on plastics/injection molding machines and 3 years of field service experience. This is a remote position but requires travel across in the Northeast region of the US. Candidates should be based in the Northeast US.
Title: Field Service Engineer
Location: Remote, (90% Northeast US travel)
Required Skills And Responsibilities
- Service plastics/injection molding machines, including troubleshooting, repairs, modifications, and installations.
- Creating and updating documentation of technical information.
- Strong electrical knowledge, including the ability to read and understand related schematic drawings, with the ability to read PLC programming as required to troubleshoot machine issues.
- Develop ongoing and ad-hoc special reports pertaining to Service.
- Provide support and training to Customer’s Service Engineers on the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
- Build strong customer service relationships with customers.
- Manage difficult customer situations in a positive manner and solicit customer feedback to improve service.
- Ability to travel 90% of the time to customer (M-F travel, home weekends).
- Valid unrestricted driver’s license and US passport.
Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in troubleshooting and maintenance of plastics/injection molding machines.
- Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and sequence ladder diagrams.
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Compensation
- $70,000 - $85,000
