Job Summary
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity and compliance of our organization. Reporting to the Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing complex accounting processes, providing strategic financial analysis, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
This is a full-time, permanent position based in our NYC office. The work environment is a professional office setting, with occasional travel to client sites or other company locations. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, with the possibility of occasional overtime during peak periods.
Compensation And Benefits
The target salary range for this position is $150,000-175,000 USD per year, commensurate with experience. Competitive bonus discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Participate in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA certification highly preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in a senior-level accounting role, ideally in the financial services industry
- Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficient in using financial software and data analysis tools
