Our client is a prestigious, global investment firm that has been a leader in the industry for 20 years. With a HQ in Greenwich, Connecticut, this firm has over 500 employees and manages more than $150B AUM for various institutional investors. They are seeking a seasoned software engineer to join their special investments group where you will be building various applications within the Python ecosystem.
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer / Quantitative Research Developer
Location: Office in Greenwich, CT (50min commute from Grand Central). This is a hybrid role, with an onsite requirement 3x per week. No candidates outside the NY/NJ/CT tristate area will be contacted.
Required Technology And Skills
- 5 years of professional experience in software engineering, with expertise in Python
- Strong understanding of Python ecosystem such as Pandas, NumPy, StreamLit, etc.
- Experience and understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-based application development
- Expertise in big data applications
- Great communication skills and ability to gather and implement requirements
- Great work ethic and ability to work autonomously without need for micro-management
- Experience working in financial services / trading applications / Front-office applications
Additional Skills
- Degree in IT, Computer Science or STEM related field
- Experience supporting financial/trading and/or mission-critical applications
Salary Range: 170,000 – 200,000 base salary, plus $35,000 - $50,000 annual cash bonus (Total cash compensation $200,000 - $250,000). Compensation will be based on experience, level, and skills.
