Our client is a leading manufacturer seeking Software QA Engineer to join their team. This role is based in Davis, CA with occasional travel requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in software validation, quality assurance, and automation, particularly in environments related to CNC machine tools or similar industries.

Required Skills And Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, testing, and evaluating software that interacts with machine tools
- Do a mix of manual and automated testing
- Experience working for a company that produces hardware
- Strong understanding of how software integrates with hardware
- Work closely with internal teams to define software specifications and requirements.
- Develop test cases, execute test plans, and document software defects.
- Utilize automation tools to streamline testing and build processes.
- Conduct functionality testing and review UI elements for both small- and large-scale interactive applications.
- Work with developers to ensure the software meets business needs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics
- 1-3 years of experience in software QA testing
- Experience with Python and C#
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Visual Studio, VS Code, TFS, Jira,
- Hands-on experience with software verification for web applications and embedded software.
- Strong foundational understanding of software development and testing principles.
Compensation
- $70,000-$90,000
- Annual bonus
