Overview:

Talent ACQ is partnering with a renowned food processing facility to secure a highly skilled Process Control Engineer. In this role, you will drive operational excellence by optimizing production processes, enhancing control system reliability, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:

  • Control System Management:
  • Oversee, maintain, and continuously enhance automated control systems, including PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems, for food processing equipment.
  • Implement upgrades and modifications to existing systems to improve performance, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Process Optimization & Analysis:
  • Analyze production data and process workflows to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, waste reduction, and quality enhancements.
  • Develop, test, and implement new control strategies using statistical process control (SPC) techniques and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to design process improvements and optimize system performance.
  • Troubleshooting & Maintenance:
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues with control system hardware and software to minimize production downtime.
  • Establish preventive maintenance protocols, perform regular system calibrations, and manage system validations.
  • Coordinate with equipment vendors and technical support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Compliance, Safety & Documentation:
  • Ensure that all control systems comply with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including HACCP, FDA, and ISO requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system schematics, operating manuals, and maintenance procedures.
  • Participate in safety audits and risk assessments, contributing to a culture of continuous safety improvement.
  • Collaboration & Training:
  • Work closely with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to support troubleshooting and process enhancement initiatives.
  • Provide technical training and support to staff on updated control systems and safety protocols.
  • Act as a key resource during the design, commissioning, and integration of new production technologies.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in process control engineering within a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming and hands-on experience with SCADA and HMI systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory requirements (HACCP, FDA, ISO) is highly desirable.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) is a plus.


Working Conditions:

  • Occasional shift work or on-call availability during critical production periods may be required.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic production environment with exposure to varying noise levels and temperatures.

Salary : $105,000 - $130,000
