Under the direction of the President of Business Development, the Contract and Pricing Specialist, will support the Business Development Team. They will be responsible for preparing cost and price estimates on proposals for services in accordance with company procedures. Effort includes developing basis of estimates and what-if analyses. Supports executive, management, and stakeholder reviews and interfaces with operations, finance and HR departments. Develops, maintains, and improves estimating methods and processes. Prepares and maintains historical cost data.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of position):

Develop, implement, and maintain data platforms, data collection systems, data analytics, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
Acquire data from primary and secondary sources.
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patters in complex data sets.
Aggregate and input accurate cost proposal data into the pricing model.
Review and interpret airline contracts, and requests for proposals.
Interpret RFPs to develop cost buildups for each of the required contract attributes.
Interpret, organize, and incorporate internal department contributions.
Coordinate, and incorporate assigned subcontractors’ responses into the final cost proposal.
Meet the terms and requirements of the RFP within the required time frame for submission.
Assist with the maintenance of physical/digital contract files and organization.
Summarize and distribute pertinent RFP data to key stakeholders.
Assist with pricing model development.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
BS or BA degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Logistics or similar combination of education and experience.
Extensive academic and/or professional quantitative analysis, data visualization, and financial modeling experience.
Strong coordination and project management skills. Must be able to track, manage and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks/assignments with competing priorities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent computer skills with the ability to use a variety of management and planning software tools, including the ability to rapidly learn and apply new software tools as required.
A proven track record of working successfully in multiple disciplines, and the ability to evaluate technical recommendations from subject matter experts in a wide range of disciplines.
Proven communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships within the organization.
Superior interpersonal communication and presentation skills as well as proven organizational skills are required.
Ability to work as part of a team and independently to meet deadlines and targets.
Ability to work in fast-paced, results-oriented work environment.
Executive presence, with ability to collaborate, and influence internal and external C-level stakeholders.
Ability to interpret and summarize complex data and text documents with extreme attention to detail.
NONESSENTIAL SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS (not necessary but preferred):
Academic/Professional experience conducting time studies.
Previous experience with RFPs within the aviation industry.
Previous procurement, and/or pricing experience in aviation industry.
MBA, and/or MS in Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Logistics.
Previous experience using SQL, Tableau, Python and similar tools.
