The May Institute is seeking an Assistant Program Director at Western Massachusetts. This is a full-time position that includes Monday through Friday (8:30-4:30) with on-call duties on weekend rotations.
Responsibilities:
Ensure residential programs meet all regulatory and procedural standards
Supervise Program Coordinators
Oversee residential operations related (but not limited) to:
Maintenance and appearance of assigned programs
Regulatory compliance
Resident care and support
Staff scheduling, recruitment, training, and performance management
Manage vacancies and overtime utilization within assigned residences
Share on-call responsibilities
Manage documentation related to licensing
Participate in a variety of meetings as required
Work collaboratively with multiple teams and families
Assist in the development and implementation of initiatives
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred
Three years of experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and implementing physical intervention strategies (e.g., Safety Care)
Three years of Supervisory experience managing programs.
Experience in Human Services program management and supervision.
Ability to lead a team and supervise 4 to 6 program coordinators
Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft word and Excel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid driver’s license and the ability to independently travel between sites
