The May Center School for Brain Injury and Neurobehavioral Disorders in Norwood, MA is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead a classroom and deliver specialized services to children and adolescents with brain injury and neurobehavioral disorders.
The May Institute in Norwood is one of only a few pediatric programs in the United States focusing on both education and rehabilitation of children and adolescents with brain injury, neurobehavioral disorders, and other complex diagnoses. You will be the orchestrator of classroom success, providing coordination and leadership in the following areas:
Academic achievement
Individually tailored educational programs & curriculum development
Creating a positive and supportive classroom environment
Social and self-regulation skill development
Vocational skills
Self-care skills

Master’s degree preferred.
Current MA State Teaching License in Special Education or current enrollment in an accredited teaching licensure program.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a knack for identifying and resolving challenges.
Demonstrate empathy, patience, and compassion for children and families.
Strong leadership and organizational skills to drive team success.
Experience with ABA principles a plus.
