What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift) position at Talent Acquisition Team?
In This Position, You Will Have the Opportunity To
Organize, perform and track on time preventative maintenance of facilities/auxiliary equipment utilizing CMMS maintenance software through generated work orders
Consult with other Maintenance, Engineering and Manufacturing employees to identify and resolve all maintenance issues in a timely manner
Convert service reports to work order and complete repairs documenting work performed
Identify and troubleshoot processes, material or equipment problems to minimize downtime
Provide process/product support to the organization to address production concerns
Perform preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, improvements, upgrades, and equipment installations
Perform tooling set-up/changeovers in a timely manner according to schedule
Ensure that maintenance coverage for production areas is provided for at all times
Sets up and operate all types of machine tools such as mill, lathe, grinders, drill presses and other machine shop tools to duplicate, make or rework parts
Proactively participate in Kaizen events and creating a continuous improvement culture
Overtime and weekend work frequently required
What You Need to Succeed in This Position
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
Advanced certification level training or associates degree preferred
3-5 years of experience supporting machine maintenance/repair in a manufacturing environment
General skills and expertise related to maintenance activities
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite
Great mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical problems
Proficient verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Positive teamwork and attitude required to support the manufacturing environment
Basic knowledge of electrical safety
Maintain Inventory records for equipment and supplies
Maintain a 5S environment in work area and Tool Shop
Follow lock out tag out procedures and all other safety rules
Maintain and displays strong attendance habits by being present and on time
