The Ideal Candidate will have 8 YOE in a Human Resources Leadership position with growth focused manufacturing (or) distribution companies.
The Director of Human Resources will serve as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO and CFO and working collaboratively with the General Manager. This role is responsible for leading all aspects of the HR function, from strategic planning and organizational development to day-to-day tactical execution. This includes managing payroll, benefits, employee relations, performance management, policy development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead Responsibilities
- Lead, develop, and execute HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee all core HR functions: payroll, benefits administration, compliance, employee engagement, recruitment, and retention.
- Manage and support both hourly and salaried employee groups, including supervisory and managerial staff.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Logistics to ensure alignment of HR initiatives with business goals.
- Collaborate with external recruiting and staffing agencies to support workforce planning and hiring needs.
- Design and implement scalable HR policies, processes, and SOPs to support a growing and evolving organization.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives and drive a performance-based culture.
- Support and advise leadership on organizational design, change management, and employee development strategies.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience
- 8 years of progressive HR leadership experience within manufacturing and/or distribution environments.
- Proven track record overseeing HR in a growing organization, including new systems implementation and process optimization.
- Experience managing a diverse workforce of both hourly and exempt employees.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, payroll systems, benefits administration, and compliance.
- Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional collaboration and alignment with business objectives.
- Experience with external recruitment and staffing partners.
- Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred but not required.
- Ability to work onsite in Greencastle, PA – relocation assistance provided.
Salary : $140,000 - $160,000
