This exciting new role provides engineering and design services to all activities for facilities service by the NAVFAC SE. You will be responsible for the infrastructure of Navy installations throughout the southeast United States.

Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design and Evaluation
- Design Support of Architectural and Engineering (A/E) Contracts
- Design Management
- HVAC Systems,
- Petroleum, oils, and lubricants (POL), specifically bulk fuel storage, handling, operational fuel handling and aircraft direct refueling.
- Specialty control, energy monitoring control systems (ECMS), digital control (DDC), HVAC controls, process system controls, industrial controls, and hydraulic controls.
- Energy conservation and sustainable design.
- Facility Acceptance Testing and commissioning (ACATS)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5-10 years of experience
- Must have design experience
- Must have Construction or Building Facility experience
- Must have PE License
- Mastery of advanced concepts, principles, and practice in mechanical engineering.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, federal, and foreign country laws, codes, and other statutory requirements affecting mechanical engineering design throughout the NAVFAC SE area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of budging planning and project management techniques including the ability to coordinate and lead the work of others.
- Ability to travel when required. Estimated percentage of travel required is 15%. This position is also eligible for Telework.
