Role Overview:

OliverIQ is seeking a strategic and experienced UX Leader to join our team. In this role, you will drive the design vision for our home automation applications and support tools, focusing on delivering user-friendly, visually engaging experiences. You will lead end-to-end design processes, mentor a team of designers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring a user-centered approach to every product. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute the UX strategy for OliverIQs home automation applications and support web tools, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs.
• Develop, maintain, and evolve a scalable Figma-based design system, including color theming and dark mode functionality to support agile development.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to translate product requirements into intuitive and engaging designs.
• Guide and mentor a team of designers, fostering an environment that promotes innovation, learning, and user-centered design principles.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and iterate on feedback.
• Advocate for consistent design practices across OliverIQs digital platforms to ensure brand alignment and usability standards.
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends, design tools, and best practices, proactively bringing insights to the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in UX Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a track record of leading design projects and developing cohesive design systems.
• Proficiency in Figma, with experience in building design systems that support theming and dark mode.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and accessibility standards.
• Proven ability to translate complex product requirements into user-friendly designs.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in home automation, IoT, or similar industries.
• Familiarity with agile development processes and rapid prototyping.
• Experience in leading or mentoring design teams.
