General Purpose
The Director, Cloud Platform (Azure) Services will be responsible for guiding cloud strategy, ensuring best practices, and overseeing the implementation of cloud initiatives. This role will lead efforts in cloud architecture, cost management, security, and DevOps, while collaborating with senior IT leadership to align cloud solutions with business needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead a team of Cloud architects and engineers , driving the successful delivery of cloud solutions.
- Provide strategic direction on cloud platform adoption, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Partner with IT leaders across Operations, Architecture, and Software Engineering to optimize cloud services.
- Evaluate and approve new cloud technologies, ensuring security, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
- Oversee end-to-end cloud lifecycle management , from selection and implementation to ongoing maintenance and retirement.
- Champion cloud best practices across multiple teams and drive cloud maturity across the organization.
- Manage cloud budgets, with a focus on cost optimization and efficiency .
- Lead DevOps efforts, automating cloud deployments, upgrades, and patches.
- Collaborate with the Security team to enforce cloud security protocols and mitigate risks .
- Co-lead the Cloud Center of Excellence , promoting innovation and modern cloud methodologies.
- Drive talent development, ensuring the team has the necessary skills to meet evolving business needs.
- Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and contractors , supporting contractual agreements.
