Talent Consultant Group is partnered with a firm that is seeking an Architect to join their growing team in San Antonio, TX.
This opportunity is for an architect to work with design teams on federal & military projects. Our client is fortunate to have a wealth of project opportunities through their multiple long-term consulting contracts for Federal clients including GSA, military, and NASA. Projects range from planning to small renovations to large multi-building projects and include both national and international projects in locations such as Japan, Europe, and the Middle East. This position is intended to be a career-building opportunity, as the successful candidate will be asked to grow their architectural skills as part of a multi-discipline team.
While federal and military experience is a plus, we are focused on your architectural skills and teamwork approach in the delivery of challenging projects for a range of needs.
Responsibilities :
- Defines structural or project elements and processes required to meet client needs, along with participating in and coordinating estimates and proposal / bid preparations. Helps ensure performance to contracts through shared planning and monitoring of work orders and deliverables with engineering, construction, and various other disciplines.
- Plans and develops architectural projects of moderate complexity that significantly impact major company programs, including exploration of subject area, definition of scope, selection of items for investigation, and development of novel concepts and methods.
- Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Coordinates with project management, other architects, and leadership on appropriate technical solutions and product strategies.
- Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
- Performs quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones. Performs field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to architectural plans.
- Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of state and local building codes, zoning laws, fire regulations, and other ordinances.
- Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice.
