Position Overview : We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced EHS / PSM Specialist III . This role is responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety efforts within the organization, coordinating site-wide Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, driving process safety improvements, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, local, and corporate EHS policies.
Key Responsibilities :
EHS Project Review & Risk Mitigation : Represent EHS in project reviews, identify and resolve regulatory issues, and establish protective measures to mitigate hazards and ensure safety compliance.
Process Safety Management : Manage PSM information systems, interpret regulations, develop written programs, track performance metrics, and facilitate training.
Hazard Analysis : Conduct Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Dust Hazard Analysis (DHA), manage the site schedule, and maintain all relevant documentation.
Compliance & Program Management : Review PSM documentation, collaborate with site operations and leadership to implement essential program elements, and provide regulatory interpretations.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Natural Sciences, or Occupational Safety and Health.
Experience :
- 5 years of experience in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS).
- At least 3 years in Process Safety Management (PSM).
Certifications : Certified PHA Facilitator, Certified ISO 14001 / 45001 Lead Auditor.
Technical Knowledge :
- Knowledgeable in PSM, RMP, OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and ISO 14001 / 45001 standards.
- Ability to read and interpret Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Skilled in creating and delivering employee training on safety topics.
Community Involvement : Ability to represent the company at community meetings, demonstrating strong communication skills and a commitment to safety.
