Position Overview : We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Transport Driver with a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and tanker endorsement. The Transport Driver plays a crucial role in safely transporting liquid products to customers, complying with all federal and state transportation regulations. This role requires a skilled driver familiar with tanker operations, safety protocols, and customer service.
THIS POSITION IS OPEN FOR CANDIDATES WILLING OR RESIDING IN SOUTH CAROLINA OR VIRGINIA.
Key Responsibilities :
- Product Transport : Drive tractor-trailer (tanker) combinations to transport and deliver asphalt products over both short and long distances, adhering to commercial driving regulations.
- Loading and Unloading : Operate equipment such as ladders, loading arms, control valves, metal hoses, and pumps to safely load and unload products. Follow terminal operators' signals for precise maneuvering.
- Documentation & Compliance : Read and interpret Bills of Lading, maintain accurate records of weight, quantity loaded, and delivery details. Conform to Federal and State driving regulations, including accurate driver logs.
- Vehicle Maintenance : Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, report vehicle condition, refuel, and check all fluid levels. Maintain a clean truck interior.
- Safety & Communication : Interface with terminal staff, customers, and regulatory contacts to ensure a smooth and safe transportation process.
