We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality primary care to patients, demonstrating expertise in diagnostic evaluation and treatment planning. This role requires a strong background in medical terminology and the ability to perform physical examinations, administer injections, and manage patient care effectively in various settings, including ICU and Level I Trauma Centers.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and health assessments for patients.
- Perform diagnostic evaluations to determine patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Administer injections and manage medication therapies as prescribed.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- Participate in utilization review processes to assess the quality of care provided.
- Provide education and counseling to patients regarding health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Assist in suturing wounds and managing acute injuries as necessary.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with medical practices.
Requirements
- Current Nurse Practitioner license with certification in primary care.
- Experience administering injections and performing physical examinations.
- Background in ICU or PICU settings preferred, particularly within a Level I Trauma Center.
- Proficient understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices.
- Strong diagnostic evaluation skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
