Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Progressive Care Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and specialized treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of patient care in a progressive care setting, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, including vital signs and overall health status.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options and care procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions, utilizing critical thinking skills to address urgent needs.
- Assist with sterile processing and ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Engage in travel nursing opportunities as needed, providing care in various settings.
- Support patients with disabilities and provide specialized care for toddlers when applicable.
- Participate in coding for patient records and documentation as required.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license in the state of practice.
- Experience in progressive care, urgent care, ER, or primary care settings preferred.
- Knowledge of tube feeding procedures and sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including those with disabilities.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in nursing care.
- Previous experience in travel nursing is advantageous but not mandatory.
