Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Your expertise in anatomy and patient care will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Duties
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering therapeutic exercises, modalities, and manual therapy techniques.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physical therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes in compliance with clinic policies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills in areas such as orthopedics, pediatrics, acute care, and trigger point therapy.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant is preferred but not required; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective patient assessment and treatment.
- Experience in various settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is a plus.
- Familiarity with specific therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy is advantageous.
