Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursing Supervisor to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in nursing home care, critical care, and emergency medicine. As a Nursing Supervisor, you will oversee nursing staff, ensure high standards of patient care, and facilitate effective communication among team members. Your expertise in patient assessment and physiology will be crucial in providing quality healthcare services to our residents.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care and implement necessary improvements.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in critical care situations.
- Oversee the administration of medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Ensure proper documentation of patient records, including DRG coding when applicable.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on best practices in patient care and safety protocols.
- Monitor the performance of nursing staff and conduct evaluations as needed.
- Assist with catheterization procedures and other clinical tasks as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Previous experience in a nursing home or critical care setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures and sonography is a plus.
- Strong understanding of physiology and patient assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with DRG coding is beneficial.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in emergency situations.
