Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Accountant/Inventory with a strong background in inventory and cost accounting, particularly in managing complex, high-value, and customized inventory. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting regular reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, sales, and procurement to support seamless inventory management and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes related to complex, multifaceted, high-value inventory.
- Monitor inventory purchases and provide financial support and analysis to the production team; prepare monthly purchase reconciliations.
- Lead the preparation of the annual budget and develop semi-annual labor and overhead rates for our internal manufacturing unit, the Workshop.
- Prepare and troubleshoot account variance analyses, with a focus on inventory and cost accounting, gross margin, cost of goods sold (COGS), and international/intercompany transactions.
- Support the Controller in managing the company’s SOX compliance program, ensuring adherence to internal controls across Accounting and IT processes.
- Assist in managing external audits, including the timely and accurate preparation of audit schedules.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Participate in ad hoc accounting and financial analysis projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and inventory/cost accounting principles
- Hands-on experience with modern ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to analyze large datasets and perform complex calculations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary : $105,000 - $120,000
