Merchandise Assortment Buyer - Aftermarket

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented AFTERMARKET MERCHANDISE BUYER to manage the purchasing and buying assortment of automotive accessories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in purchasing, mix management, excellent negotiation skills, and an eye for market trends. This role is crucial in ensuring our inventory aligns with customer demand and our business objectives.

Primary Function:

To manage the product mix, inventory, pricing, and promotions of an assigned group of product categories for all business segments (Retail, Wholesale, and Fleet) to achieve sales growth and inventory performance goals while maintaining high-level relationships with vendors and internal team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select, price, promote and manage inventory to achieve sales, margin, turnover, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Monitor and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and sales performance and adjust product mix and pricing accordingly
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and evaluate their performance regularly.
• Coordinate with marketing, sales, and operations to communicate and execute product launches and promotions.
• Manage the disposition of inventory that is no longer part of the stocking mix.

Qualifications:

• 4 years of experience in a buying role, preferably of aftermarket goods.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Available to work extended hours.
