HSC Communications, a Cox Communications Authorized Retailer, is seeking an experienced Cox Retail Assistant Sales Manager who excels at Leading, Developing and Inspiring a team of Sales Associates. As a Cox Retail Assistant Sales Manager for HSC Communications, we look for people who can easily connect with others, drive sales, and develop talent. You will be working directly with our Cox Retail Sales Associates, educating them on the Cox Communications Products and Services we offer, developing their sales and customer service skills and operating your assigned Cox Communications retail location.

As a Cox Retail Assistant Sales Manager for HSC Communications will be responsible for:
Employee Management and Development:
- Assisting with managing store success and take ownership for store employees’ work-related needs, hiring, scheduling, and maintaining payroll hours in control.
- Taking responsibility and accountability for your leadership results and the actions of your team. Support your team through development, training, and mentoring, driving behaviors that will lead to employee success.
- Leading by example, staying up to date on the latest products, services, complete training on time, and leadership best practices to remain an expert resource to your team.
- Setting daily goals for store and each sales associate.
- Identifying performance opportunities and take necessary action to drive improvement.
- Ensuring all sales associates complete training on time, which is required by Cox Communications.
Customer Experience and Sales:
- Meeting and exceeding individual and team sales goals.
- Assisting with customer-related issues that would positively impact the customer’s experience within the Cox Communications brand and expectations.
- Resolving or escalating appropriately any billing or service issues.
- Communicating sales challenges, offering creative solutions.
Operational Excellence:
- Assisting with ensuring store is audit-compliance ready per Cox Communications Exclusive Dealer Operating Standards
- Ensuring store is opening on time, no early closing per business hours.
- Ensuring all company assets including Cox Communications related inventory including handset & accessories are secured and accounted for
- Ensuring Opening and Closing procedures are followed every day.
- Ensuring and verify store is always clean (back room and sales front). – No drinks are allowed on the sales floor. No clutter and keep workstation clean.
- Ensuring no personal phone usage is allowed during work hours except emergency matters.
- Ensuring and checking that store has adequate supplies.
- Assisting with ensuring supply order is submitted on time per schedule.
- Ensuring and checking store’s maintenance requirement.
- Send email to Operations team with pictures and details of problems.
- Ensure all demo phones are fully charged and free from fingerprints.
- Research operations loss and response promptly to a Weekly Operation Loss discrepancy
Communications:
- Assistant Managers are required to check store emails and ongoing training materials as needed basis.
HSC Communications is looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- College degree preferred and 1-2 years of relevant work experience leading and managing employees in a sales environment.
- Proven ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively sell products using a consultative, solutions-based approach.
- Ability to build relationships and adapt to a diverse customer base.
- Proficiency in multitasking and prioritizing in a service-oriented, fast-paced team environment.
- Ability to lead and motivate sales associates.
- Ability to comply with Operational objectives and goals.
- Excellent sales skills and demonstrated ability to meet or exceed performance standards.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work at multiple locations within district preferred.
- Ability to operate a personal computer, wireless equipment, copier, and fax machine if required.
- Basic understanding of Microsoft programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, word, and Outlook.
- The assistant store manager must be able to lift and move around up to 35lbs weight objects.
- Experience in sales, retail sales, service industry, or selling wireless/mobile products.
- Fluency in Spanish, both written and spoken, is a plus.
