Our Ideal Candidate will have an eye for precise attention to detail, an excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures, knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, equipment, sterilization techniques and outstanding written and verbal communication skills with an ability to multitask with ease.

As our new pediatric dental assistant, you will be responsible for providing hands-on support to our dentists and completing prep work to ensure the doctor is able to focus on care for patients. You will operate as our patients advocate by answering questions on dental hygiene or insurance, setting up appointments, or simply leading them to the exam room. By operating in this supportive role, you will ensure our patients leaves with a smile!
A Day In the Life Of
- Perform four handed dentistry
- Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures
- Prepare exam rooms for cleanings
- Gather patient information and health background
- Perform coronal polishing, sealant application, and fluoride application as needed
- Teach children proper brushing and flossing practices
- Take digital x-rays of children’s teeth
What You'll Bring To The Table
- Education:
- High school diploma/GED
- Additional certification or training is an asset
- Dental X-Ray Certification
- CPR
- Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental assistant(preferred 1 year)
- Accurate and precise attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
- Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments and equipment
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask with ease
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Good computer skills
- Excellent communication, people skills
- Well-organized and reliable
- Able to remain calm under stress
