The Compliance Analyst – Deposit Operations will play a key role in ensuring compliance with deposit-related regulations and providing guidance across operational functions to minimize regulatory risk.
What You’ll Do
- Support the execution of the Compliance Management System (CMS), including risk assessments and compliance testing.
- Lead and document compliance reviews; communicate findings to management.
- Deliver employee training on compliance policies for deposit operations, CIP, Identity Theft, and more.
- Provide compliance guidance across departments and support development of internal controls.
- Review policies, procedures, and disclosures for regulatory compliance.
- Conduct investigations related to consumer complaints, FCRA, and Identity Theft.
- Assist in managing POA compliance and coordinate with law enforcement on data requests.
- Monitor and assess risk in online banking, payments, and deposit services.
- Support new product development and change management for compliance alignment.
- Research compliance issues using reference materials and provide recommendations.
- Collaborate with project teams and management to identify and mitigate compliance gaps.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of financial institution or related experience.
- 3 years of consumer compliance experience and 2 years focused on deposit/payments compliance.
- Deep understanding of deposit operations regulations: NACHA, Reg E, Reg D, Reg CC, Reg DD, and more.
- Experience with compliance laws including UDAAP and FCRA.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Symitar and JIRA preferred.
- Preferred certifications: NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO), CUNA CUCE. Must be willing to obtain relevant certifications within designated timeframes.
